Saw a few earlies peeping through yesterday so covered them up.  Glad I did since we had a wee nip of groundfrost overnight.

:D Started picking the first of the spuds last week, very nice.  Couldn´t tell you what type they are though, just seed potatoes from the local greengrocer! Neighbours gave me a telling off for digging up a couple of plants (to give the spuds to our visitors to take away with them) but when they saw the size of the potatoes they went and dug up some of theirs to eat! :D
We are in Spain though, so growing seasons much earlier here.  Will get in another crop probably about November time.

can any one tell me when to stop earthing up please? i am currently doing my earlies but i don't know wehn to just leave them to grow.

Hi there haven't been on much the last few months as i've been down the lotti i've put in second earlies and mains and they are coming up a treat not sure whether i put a few too many in but hey its my first year happy growing everyone
I am not afraid of tomorrow, for I have seen yesterday and I love today.
