Title: Quails and Chickens
Post by: merlin12 on October 27, 2008, 15:59
I had been led to believe that Chickens and Quails could co-exist quite peacefully, however, having introduced 4 quail to my 4 chickens, one of the quail has been very badly pecked and the rest have spent thier time hidden under the chicken house.  I have now moved them to a seperate run and house but it it worth another try?

Quail are so small compared with chickens, that I'd say no.

I keep quail and chickens but I keep mine seperate but I do know of someone that keeps his quail with any growers he has with no problems. He would however be the first to admit the quail are scared of  the chickens and tend to keep out of their way.

I personally would keep them separate.
