I have been al little late getting in some seed potatoes this year. I have about 20 Marfona Potatoes that have been hanging around a while and have started to chit. Can i just plan these and enjoy Marfoa in a couple of months or am i missing a vital part of potato biology?

I'd just plant them and enjoy what you can. Otherwise, you'll find they won't keep until 'the right time' next year.

Were these bought as seed potatoes or are they left over from the weekly food shop?

I ask because you need to take care not to introduce any virus.... mostly I think virus free seed potatoes are recommended... Just a thought.

i would go for it ....my father inlaw always gets a good crop from supermarket spuds ,
but he does grow them in bags
