Title: Advice on a polytunnel
Post by: Flatcat on September 19, 2012, 16:37
Hi,

I am thinking of getting a polytunnel, and I wondered if they can be used in the same way as a greenhouse to start off things from seed?

Thanks

i have had poly-tunnels for about 20 years now i find them very good for growing we also have a couple of greenhouses i have to say there's not much difference for growing in both although the poly-tunnel tends to get more condensation but there are products on the market that can sort that problem out :)

i also put shading on the greenhouses but i seldom put shading on the tunnel the Polly sheeting needs replacing on the large tunnel that is a bit expensive but it has lasted some years come rain come shine

that's my comments other's mite disagree from what Ive said but i think it your preference hope this helps any other info you mite need regarding poly-tunnels just ask glad to help good luck ;)
