Title: My apple jelly
Post by: Oscar Too on February 02, 2009, 16:53
Last year I made apple jelly for the first time, from some remnant orchard Lord Lambourns.

It is absolutely delicious.

That's all I wanted to say.   :D

When you get bored with apple jelly, add some dried chillies to the boiling to a pulp stage.  Adds a zing to the cold meat/left over roast ("I dont like Mondays.  Cold meat day and back to work" - my grandad Beat the Boomtown Rats by several decades....:) )

Or rosemary (don't be mean)- the flavour comes through in the jelly without having to do the 'fine chopping/judging when to jar so it doesnt all float to the top/WI competition' bit.   ;)
