Time for some housework !
« on: August 14, 2020, 14:42 »
Just went to the 'fridge in the garage for some fruit, and a block of butter, on the top shelf, has run out all through the rungs and everything in its path.   So attention fridge. - Done it, squeaky clean now
Window cleaner has been, and whilst he is not very good and leaves smears, I could see that the insides need a good getting at - Done it.
Everything, feels slightly gritty from the doors and windows being open.  -   dusters, and cleaning clothes out - done it.   Floors dusted as well.
Now for a cuppa and a look at the paper - not done that yet but going to right now, with an eye on the snooker, the other probably closed  :D :D   Mrs Bouquet

I loathe housework with a passion.  All I do is20 minutes a day, cooking doesn't count as I enjoy it.  Today was change the bed, sheets wzshed, clean sheets on Hoover and dust bedroom.

You must move fast to get that done in 20 minutes, even taking into account that you aren't actually doing the washing ::)

Mum I do, I've got it down to a fine art. My mum was the same,  she brought me up to put things away rather than put them down and it makes a huge difference.

It probably takes me 10 minutes just to lug the Dyson up the stairs and that's before I start...

Aunt Sally, when kids were at home I used to put anything they left  laying about in a box, up to them to sort it out, still do the same with the rubbish my husband leaves all over the place. .    I've always worked full.time so had no choice than to be organised, housework interferes with gardening time!!!!!!

I used to do that, Grannie.  I put it in a black sack by the front door, and told them it was bin day tomorrow.

It soon disappeared

My children were fairly good about being tidy, but if it got out of hand, I used to throw it out on the lawn. :D
Mum, suppose it had rained  -  Hard luck !!  Put it away properly then that will not happen   ::)  They have both grown into tidy adults and grandchildren also.      Mrs Bouquet

What's housework?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Fortunately I can decide when I go to work so have decided not to go today.  I do have an ironing basket to empty so will watch some TV (if I can find something to watch) and do that instead.  Housework gets done only when I can't find something else to do.
