Title: Manure rich soil

Hi, following a mis-understanding with my husband, he has dug a bag of manure into beds where I was planning on planting brassicas and roots;(

Not sure if I should try and dig it out, or think of something else that will grow there ok. Other things needing to go in are peas, beans and flowers; it would be best of course to put my squashes there but I have some really rough, scraggy allotment that we have just taken on that I was going to put my squashes in and I would really struggle to get the scraggy part of the garden into shape for roots and brassicas anytime soon. Any ideas?

It'll be ok for the brassicas, but the roots won't like it.
BUT, was it 'proper manure' from the farm/stables or what you buy in the garden centre? If it's the g/c stuff then that's not like 'real' manure and the plants won't mind it ;)
