The things we do for wildlife...
« on: March 15, 2021, 07:00 »
It's a rotten time for squirrels, birds etc., around now, and while we aren't over-run with the little grey varmints, the resident squirrel was desperately searching for some of the (allegedly) 30,000 nuts he/she has secreted around the place. He leaps from tree to tree behind us, then starts to scavenge everywhere, often taking some of the peanuts we put out for the birds!

So Mrs Growster decided that he should have the last of the Yuletide nuts, which are getting pretty dry anyway, and a benevolent Growster decided to stand on the bench and chuck them over the wall!

Creeeeeeak, bump...:0(

OUCH Growster!
The bench now looks like it could do with some TLC, when you have finished getting some for yourself of course

Painful  -  but I expect you got lots of tea and sympathy  - and the squirrel was happy as well. ;)  Mrs Bouquet

I'm absolutely fine - thank you! It was only a small bump...

That bench was already on its way out anyway; it's not the same hardwood as the chairs and table, and while cheaper and the same style, it started to go home a couple of years ago, and I'd had to fix a whole lot of new bearers at the back!

I'm now wondering what I can do with the bits...:0~
