Hello my Aunties just cleared my uncles house out the freezer was full of soft fruit and a cupboard had tins of treacle in it could jam be made with treacle instead of sugar jezza

I wouldn't think so. Treacle has such a strong flavour it would overpower the fruit.

Black treacle would be unpleasant. If it’s golden syrup it might be worth an experiment.

Hello its golden syrup,my mum found an old wartime book called cooking for victory it has recipes in for jam making with Golden syrup jezza
