Hi all,

I have just moved plots and on the new one are what im sure are raspberry canes. I have been reading about what to do and when but I`m thoroughly confussed as i dont know if they are summer or winter fruiting.

Can anyone guide me to the best thing to do right now?

Have a look and prune out to the ground any stems that have the remains of fruit/flowers on them, and those that look to be old dead stems. It won't be perfect, but at least they'll get a tidy up before they flower and fruit this year.

You could try asking any nearby plot holders - they just might know what they are

Following on from this the raspberries are fruiting and im picking them now. When they are finished fruiting what is the process to be sure they will be back next year?

They are clearly summer fruiting raspberries
