Cloche or not
« on: February 21, 2014, 22:59 »
Hi all,

I've just taken over a plot and I guess like others am just waiting for the rain to stop. Having not cloched/fleeced yet, is it worth doing soon or should I let the ground dry out a bit first?

Thanks

Welcome to the site  :D

Feel free to pop your general location into your forum profile as it's often useful for us to know whereabouts in the country you are  :)

I wouldn't bother cloching or fleecing yet.  Depending on the weather in your part of the country, they may just get blown away and I doubt they'll help that much to dry the soil out - water travels sideways as well as down!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
