Hi All,

Just wanted to say how helpful I have found this site when we were contemplating getting chooks.
I really didn't think I would be able to as I live in a housing association property on an estate. Well I bit the bullet & asked.....to my surprise they said sure! (good job as the hens had been here for 3 days already)
My son is over the moon at being allowed to keep his bizzare 4th birthday present and already knows more than me, reminding me to make sure they have grit, only giving corn as a treat and washing our hands with anti-bacterial soap etc.
So keep up with the great advice and to anyone else out there who thinks they can't....... you never know until you ask!  :)

Hello and Welcome
I am sure you will enjoy your chooks as much as I do, and it is great that your Son is enjoying them too  :)

Great news that you can keep them and your son sounds really interested - nice way to keep him occupied during the summer hols and beyond.

I too have found this forum invaluable, it's a great community.

You little boy will no longer be watching CITV or CBBC, he has real LIVE entertainment on tap, and great chooky eggs for breakfast.
Welcome, and congratulations!!
