is this common

i have not seen my bluebell scratch in the soil to look for food ever
her two companions happily rake the whole garden up but she just pecks at the floor
is this unusual
 she eats and is fine and lays
i have no worrys other than this
they roam the garden all day and are 9 months old
4 children, 1 hubby, 2 g,pigs, 1 gecko 3 hens, 2 fish,2 cats

I'm fairly sure I've seen my bluebell scratch, but now I think about it, I'm not entirely sure
We use chemicals in this garden, just as god intended

I've recently got two Barnvelders and they dig for Britain!! They can't eat anything if their feet aren't raking around. My silkie rarely scratches in any meaningful way.
3 o'clock is both too early and too late to start anything - Sartre said so.

I think you must be looking at the wrong times ;)  Even day old chicks hatched in an incubator will scratch in bedding.  It is a natural instinct, not one which is taught.

So yes, if she never scratches, then I would say it is very unusual :)

Looked last night, she scratches.

As Casey says, its a natural instinct, mine do it on flags, concrete, plastic ect

no iv been out in the garden working for a lot sometimes all day and iv not seen her do it at all evr
she has clean feet too and her nails are long too

Bluebelles are FRENCH so she probably spends all her time painting her nails.  This explains it ;)
