With all this talk about dust baths here is a picture of Sarah enjoying her mud bath.  She's a little moth eaten still, though some new feather growth, her undercarraige is still completely bald and looking like it's going to stay that way.

The next piccy is Rita, almost pegged it within a week of getting her, nearly bald, now looking good with new feathers coming (fluffy) and put on weight.  Now has a tail rather than a rear end that looked oven ready.

aw!  don't you just love it when they close their eyes whilst they're kicking the dust (or in this case, mud!) around.  It's like they're in seventh heaven  :D

wow that silkie boy is beautiful! Lovely colour! would swap eggs in spring if youd like any of our plain golds?

Sorry mduel he had to go  :cry: , that photo was taken the day he was rehomed, the neighbours complained about his crowing.  He was a beautiful good natured cockerel, and my daughter (6) used to sit with him on her knee watching tv.  

He was the love of the life of Polly (the white one) and he would bring her tasty morsels found in the garden.

He was my favourite, he was the only other male in the household :lol:
