Being a great supporter of the rescue centre where two of my dogs came from I am a great supporter of Staffies having seen a great deal. Sadly many aren't nasty but are stolen and then used as bait dogs and then dumped when they are no good or if they don't fight back - Rosie is a Staffie x English Bull Terrier and I have to be careful never to leave her tied up outside shops etc. because of this fact.
Staffies are softer than you think.

Do you have to muzzle her when out Joyfull?  Not saying she is nasty, just wondered what the law is.  Some of the pitbull/staffie types here have to be muzzled in public and you have to have insurance.  Also, it isn´t just ´pit bull ´types here,  I have been told that all big dogs over a certain weight have to be muzzled in public-  hope Jumbo keeps his weight down!!

Pamela

PS We have had a Pit Bull dumped over the fence at the refuge, his ears have been cut off, poor thing.  He is so gentle, he is lovely.

No none of my dogs have to be muzzled and Ollie (the Neapolitan Mastiff) is over 10 stones with a 42" chest - a very big girlie  :D.
The dog with it's ears cut off would have either been used for bait or fighting but was probably dumped as it was no good at it. This happens a lot here  :(.
In your photo isn't one of your dogs missing as I thought you had two before you got the dog with no name? Perhaps you should call him Clint (after Clint Eastwood - the man with no name  ::)).

Lola was taking her siesta under the table- my sister had given (possibly Charlie)  a dog treat, so Jumbo being Jumbo was not going to miss that

Aaaaw, what a great family shot! :D

I hope you don't mind me posting this link, but I feel a bit proud of Jack this week. He was the judges favourite in the Watersports category of the  Frontline Petchampions competition that has been running for a few months. I knew he  hadn't won on votes, as the leaders had thousands! But I had forgotten that there was also a judges choice and he is it  :D :D

The link shows all the winners, mine is a video and you can click it from the link.

(please remove the link if it's not right for this site)

My boy did us all proud, I couldn't be more pleased if he'd won gold at the olympics.

I was voting every day for the 3 amigos (they won with the most votes in the mind games and had the most votes overall). David their owner runs the happy Staffy Group on Facebook, and his 3 staffies are fantastic - they are so well trained that he and his wife can do anything with them). His prize is being split between several dog rescue sites including Babbington I think - which is where 2 of mine come from).
