What to do with dug weeds?

The annual ones can go in but I don't put the perennial ones in, cos they can regrow.

but if you have a spare container, you can drown them for a couple of weeks in water, then put them on.

I had a spare 1tonne bag, so last year I put all my nettles etc in there, and nearly everything has rotted down to almost nothing.

alternatively, in this weather, lay them out to crisp up on fabric or mesh. weeds with big roots like dock or dandelion might still survive though...
