My first earlies will be over in a couple of weeks and a friend has suggested that  in their place I plant some salad potatoes or similar so that we get "new" potatoes later in the year (e.g. October - December). I have searched the net, but don't know what term to use to find the sort of potatoes I am looking for. Does anyone have any ideas, or even better, suggestions for which varieties would be the best to plant and which month to plant?

a google of 'Christmas seed potatoes' will show many suppliers. You could always ask your local garden centre if they will be getting any in later, to save on postage.
