Hello everyone its been a long time since I was in touch due to health reasons . happy Christmas to you all. The question I want to ask is I am thinking of planting a tree in my back garden, It has to be compact also I want it to grow about 10 to 15 foot tall. I don't want a fruit tree I would like something with blossom if possible. I will be in full sun
. Has anybody got any ideas ?

If you want a very small tree, some of the flowering cherries that grow as shrubs might be a good bet. You can them grafted onto a stem to form a standard tree shape.
Prunus incisa Kojo-no-mai is probably the best known. Prunus Kiku-shidare-zakura is also pretty easy to get hold of. They are known as the Fuji cherry and Cheal's weeping cherry, but a search on the proper names will probably get you more info.

Do you have a good garden centre near you? If you do ask their advice.
Price , size , location , soil type are things to consider.
On the topic of trees.
Tonight on BBC1 at 8 o'clock , Dame Judy Dench - My Passion for trees could be worth watching.
