« on: August 14, 2010, 22:15 »
Hey all.

Starting to get a few spaces now ready for well rotted manure. Also gonna be planting some over winter green manure. But just wondering, obviously aprt from carrots, what veg are not fans of being planted in autumn manured beds?

Cheers!

. . . . . . . .  obviously aprt from carrots, what veg are not fans of being planted in autumn . . . .

If you are preparing your beds now, for planting next year, then there isn't much that would be off-limits.
Contrary to what you've stated, carrots will thrive in soil that has been manured the year before. They love a light, stone free, well drained, and fertile soil with plenty of well-rotted organic matter in it. Just make sure that, before you sow, the soil is lump free.
The successes and failures of each year keep me motivated for the following year.
