Well I post the pics just to pinch myself and believe it's real!!!

The PT kit sat in a shed for 18 months and it took a friend saying 'you'll never get that polytunnel built' to spur me into action.

Here's the new herb bed...

I snuck a chilli plant into my greenhouse yesterday.  I lost my seedlings and said I wouldn't bother this year as I have loads of dried ones from last year, but ...........  we got a whole exciting new range of them in at work.  The Zimbabwe Black had to be mine

Purple leaves, purple chillies ripening to red and pretty purple flowers - gimmie, gimmie, gimmie

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh your work sounds a dangerous place for seedaholics!

Sideshooted the toms, watered the strawbs and picked anything ripe-ish, watered the cukes - doesn't look like Im too far away from a picking. Much of the second sowing of salad has run to seed and the 3rd hasn't even germinated yet

Too wet to check the top greenhouse but I can't imagine anything exciting has happened it there   ::)

Got down there in a rare dry patch to check it over & water a few bits. Noticed some flowers on a couple of the tomatoes. Time to get them potted into final pots this weekend.

More sideshooting - the toms aren't looking too good and there's definitely something funny going on with the brandy wine. Watered lots - I've used most of the 220l over the past 2 days

Picked the ripe strawbs - there are definitely 2 types in there one has horrible bitter fruit the other is passable but not exactly delicious - I'll be kicking the lot out next week I think to use the space for peppers.

Up in the top GH the dwarf beans have finally started to set but everything else in there was looking very sickly so I've given it all a feed and hopefully things will pick up.

Finished potting up all the tomatoes in to there final pots, all the cucumbers (8) were done on Friday. Not counted the toms but I know I have loads more that I've left outside, plus 20 plus for the plot. Sort of in the greenhouse but out on the lawn I potted on all the squash, chillis/ peppers another casualty of non waterproof pen :nowink: & the aubergines.all beans now out hardening off as are the beetroot & Swiss chard.

Are you still none the wiser ? I think I managed to sort mine based on leaf shape but it's all still a bit of a guessing game until the pods develop.

I Potted on 2 physalis plants and moved the cold frame from the heated bench to give me a bit more space. Picked a few more strawberries and fed them to the chickens  Moved the beetroot seed trays up to the top GH  5 out of 40 have germinated

Watered everything Id missed over the weekend and then picked my first cuke.  :tongue2:

No Lardy, they are still too small, not confident of a crop to be fair as I know they need a long growing season, but I have put them in the conservatory so they benefit from the extra heat, plus I hadn't got room in the greenhouse so that's what I told hubby to get them past him :D :D
Great news on the cuc,no wonder you had a  :tongue2: moment
