Well on Thursday I tried (and nearly succeeded) in frying everything in there! ::)

Today I topped up the compost on he surviving toms to encourage more roots before they get finally planted :D

Found more peppers growing...should the first be sacrificed to encourage more fruiting?

And also flowers on Aubergine plants.  I almost binned the Aubergines as a 'not a chance'.  Glad I didn't now.

Watered, sideshooted and chucked out everything which had run to seed.  Moaned at the cucamelons for being a waste of space and spoke sharply to the la diva cuke which insists on putting out side shoots and not climbing up the strings.

Things seem to have stalled here

I too have the odd pepper forming. About an inch long. Very early for a plant that's not even a foot high yet isn't it?  Anyway I've given them some liquid feed.

Picked the first 3 ripe Strawberries of the year ;-)
Congratulated myself at how well the capillary matting watering system had done in the 6 days we've been away, and smiled that some of the 3rd batch of sweetcorn sowings have come through whilst we've been gone.

Went out early to put up some brassica cages and plant some brussels, but its tipping down with rain. Instead, planted out watermelons, honeydew melons and some more peppers into the polytunnel. Tidied up also. Then got wet walking back home! Had a cuppa!!! ;)

Watered, side-shooted and put up more supports at roof level.  Sowed salad leaves and potted on some living herbs from the supermarket.  Fast approaching the time to bin the seedlings I can't possible find a space for  :( and clean away the cold weather and germination kit.

In the top greenhouse the dwarf beans seem to be taking forever and the carrot germination is very poor, the mini-white cukes aren't looking healthy at all but cucamelons seem to have finally sorted themselves out.

For the second day running, used it as a shelter from the rain! It was so bad today, that we even moved the plastic chairs in from our little patio area!

I moved everything around on the bench (again) to get the germinated beans out in the light 'til they're big enough to plant.

I'm getting "tired" of moving stuff in the g/h around to accommodate "new" stuff that just keeps growing!
I either need a bigger g/h, another g/h and / or another plot

but cucamelons seem to have finally sorted themselves out.

Have faith  ;)  We were all moaning at what slow weedy things they were last year, swiftly followed by cries for rescue as we bravely tried to machete our ways into the greenhouse past the beasts

I snuck a chilli plant into my greenhouse yesterday.  I lost my seedlings and said I wouldn't bother this year as I have loads of dried ones from last year, but ...........  we got a whole exciting new range of them in at work.  The Zimbabwe Black had to be mine

Purple leaves, purple chillies ripening to red and pretty purple flowers - gimmie, gimmie, gimmie

Potted on the really late sown chilli's.. they looked like they didn't like the heat once transplanted, and it was soooo warm in there that i'm not sure I did either!
