Probably worth a look  ;)

What a cruel twist of fate! .."gifted" two "Howards" then the ability to use them taken away
Glad to hear Rob has a positive attitude about this.....as this will go a long way on the road to recovery.......and he can get back behind those machines

Best wishes

Wow.... just read through carefully.. :(

So sorry to hear of Rob's accident, Claire.
Please, if you can, let us know how the recovery is going.

And... thank him for thinking of us and asking you to post for him.

Just a quick update on how he is he's seen the specialist today and they have told him that he will be paralized from the waist down so he will never walk again so he's a bit upset but on the bright side say there is a very good chance that he should regain the use of his arms once the swelling on his spinal cord has gone down so he says that he should be greatful for that so he has already started planning with a little help from the guy in the next bed but the nurse's think his mad because he's asked them if I can bring his shadow(pig) into see him as he take him everywhere with him many thanks claire

What on earth does anyone say to news like that......

I was telling my 95 yr old dad the other day that he was not doing so bad for his age as we watched a rugby trainer on the tv. He had been involved in an accident on the pitch. This left him with only mobility from the neck upwards but he is now training others in the sport that he loves.

There's always a silver lining if you are strong enough to search for it and have a positive outlook and a jest for life.

Please send my best wishes to Rob - even though we have never met and are unlikely to do so, my very best wishes go with him for continued improvement.

Help him set and realise his goals... determination (bl**dy mindedness some call it) is a huge ally. I wish him the greatest success - keep aiming for what you want - mind over matter is an amazing thing.

My uncle was injured during his 2ndWW service and bed-ridden for more than a couple of years - told he would most likely not walk again... He has been doing just that for years since then.

Thanks for keeping us informed. Keep strong for your brother, Claire.
Learner.
