Never heard of it
Easiest way to tell, as a general rule of thumb, does the engine crankcase have an oil filler cap?
if it does, it's usually a good bet that it's a four stroke :)

Does the petrol look discoloured? Two stroke looks dark when oil is added.

Look ta it like this.

If its four stroke, and you put two stroke fuel in, all it will do is run smokey as the oil burns. It wont do any damage.

On the other hand, if its two stroke and you run it on neat petrol, you will wreck it in a fairly short  time.

So personally, until I knew one way or another, id feed it on two stroke fuel for now.

This is a message for Griff. the tiller you are asking about has a TWO stroke engine and should be mixed at 1:25. I also have this model and it is very good. i have an instuction manual if you need one.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I have just bought one of these today.
Apparently costing £149-99 new, I paid £50 for a three year old model. I know the previous owner as he was on the next plot to me. It has had very little use, runs as sweet as anything and has done two hours work today without batting an eyelid.

Very similar to a mantis without the pricetag.
I'm well chuffed with it.
