Has anyone got one of these at their allotment and connected a hose to it or drip hose?

Nah but could do with it cos I bought one of those soaker hoses so I could drip feed some of my veggies but the darn thing doesn't work. I wonder if it needs mains pressure :? So it's back to the can

Think the soaker hose does need main pressure but you can buy the drip feeders that work from the butt however you need to fit a filter to stop it getting blocked, I am thinking of using a garden pond pump, I have a petrol generator so no probs with mains.

it took me ruddy ages to work out how the thing fitted to the lotty tap and then it dint work :roll:

Not the easiest answer but 12Volt submersible caravan pumps work well if you can find 1 and an old car battery ( try local scrappy) and a solar panel from EBAY (about £12 with postage)

I have a pump

it would bust if I attached a soaker
just water with a hose
any restriction would be a difficulty
