Garden Pest Mesh
« on: January 03, 2013, 08:23 »
I want to be prepared for the dreaded leaf minor and other insects this season and would appreciate any tips on the best type and prices for mesh. So far I have found this to be the cheapest

http://www.gardening-naturally.com/acatalog/Veggiemesh.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=Product_Search&utm_campaign=google_base

Has anyone used this ?

Thanks.

I've got a different version but that looks as though it will do the job  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I bought some years ago through Harrod Horticultural:

Have a look to compare the prices - don't forget to factor in any P&P.  :)

I 'inherited' some of this when I moved 3.5 years ago & it's still going strong.

This is what I use and also buy from Gardening naturally.  I either use it loose, over pot topped canes and weighed down with bricks or I staple it to wooden cloche frames I make.  Either way, it works very well and also provides some frost protection too.

I have just checked that link, and the price includes VAT.

Commercial suppliers you do have to watch out for the VAT increase, yes good point.

Or this,

Bought some from these chaps some years ago. It's still ok. They kindly sent out some small samples to make sure it was what I wanted.
