Title: Honda 4-stroke engine GC160
Post by: PIMBO on June 27, 2011, 15:17
Some years ago the Briggs & Stratton engine on my 5 HP Super Major Merry Tiller, was replaced by a Honda GC160; 4-stroke.  Recently, the engine has become 'lazy' and all attempts to obtain information regarding tuning from Honda have proved futile.
I would be grateful for any advice about tuning the carburettor and setting up the governor. Regards

Honda do free .pdf downloads of the maintenance manuals for their small engines. I have the one for the GX 120 and it shows simple carb adjustments so I expect the GC one will be similar. Try this link http://www.honda-engines-eu.com/en/welcome.html

Hello RT,
My thanks for your very useful advice. Earlier I struggled for two hours without success attempting to locate such information on the Honda site. I have since been contacted by Honda who provided the identical URL to that posted by you.  Regards
