Title: wheelbarrow
Post by: Snap Dragon on May 17, 2008, 16:47
I would like to get a wheelbarrow (as I'm hoping to get some manure delivered at some point this year!) and have seen a folding one in our local garden centre for £17.99.

Has anyone used one of these? Will it last?

I haven't really got room in the shed for a normal barrow and I don't want to leave it outside for anyone to help themselves to!

Hi, Snap dragon, I've got a folding wheelbarrow (old codger with a bad back ) and it's quite usefull for lighter "stuff" but not up to carting heavy "muck" around.
I would think you would be better off going to a builders merchant and getting a builders wheelbarrow for not much more money, and it will last for years. Last time I looked, they were around £26ish quid, and often cheaper than that. As for leaving it outside, get yourself a cheap adjustable spanner for a couple of pounds and remove the wheel when you're not using it! it'll be no use to anyone then.
