Briggs & Stratton replacement fuel tanks are actually quite expensive.  Why do you need a new fuel tank - rust? or a leak?

If it's a leak, I'd try an epoxy resin sealant - check it's resistant to petrol first, though.

If it's rust, you could try removing the tank, putting some fencing staples or gravel inside, together with a proprietary rust remover, and shaking it (for ages!)....  this, followed by treatment with a phosphoric acid rust preventative (turns blue-black) has worked for me in the past.   Alternatively, I believe electrolysis works very well, although I've never tried it - just google "youtube electrolytic cleaning fuel tank".

If you really want a new tank, you need to first identify the part number - get the engine identification codes, which should be stamped somewhere on the flywheel shroud, and enter into either the official Briggs website (http://www.briggsandstratton.com/us/en/support/manuals/engine) or any other US parts site, and look up the 6 digit part number for your engine.  Then either search "flea bay" or try your local Briggs service agent or an online vendor - I have used Shoulders of Shoreham in the past.  (Beware buying anything from the US, unless all import duties are paid, as the Post Office may charge you a small fortune for collecting a few pounds import duty/VAT.)
