Poultry 'loss'

I purchased 4 chickens a year ago. One white sussex developed loss of neck & anal feathers about 2 months ago but eyes were bright, comb good and no evidence of excessive 'bullying'. Bird died today in nestbox. 3 others are fine1 Advise as to what I should have done, or what cause might be.... No evidence of louse / mite/ scaly leg etc.....

Sorry to hear of your loss

Not enough experience of that sort of feather-loss, I'm afraid. How old was the girl?
We lost two quite suddenly in May, but with identifiable symptoms, so I'm not much use! Just sympathetic..
Others will probably have a better idea. You could always have a PM done by a vet?
