We had a burst pipe in our garage and a bag of wild bird seed got wet, within a couple of days it had gone mouldy on the top and caked underneth with some of the seeds stating to sprout  .

If I get rid of the mouldy bit off the top, is it ok to feed the hens the other stuff from underneath??

I don't really want to waste nearly a full bag of feed, maybe the chooks could pick out the good bits etc??

I think you can be the best judge as you can see the condition of the seed.
Would you risk a mouthfull ? if not plant it or bin it.

the problem is you cannot see the mould spores and by feeding it to your hens you risk giving them an infection that will cost you more money in vets fees and medication than the cost of throwing away the bag of seed.

Thanks for that bit of advice, better go and bin it before they find the bag then...

I've noticed hens are good at 'finding' stuff.....
