Welcome Smokey n Coco.

No it isn't.

Are there any other symptoms ? eg discharge from eyes or nostrils ?

We had a hen sneezing and the vet gave us antibiotic liquid to put in the water- stopped the hen sneezing :D

:( no other symptoms, she does spend a lot of time mooching about under leaves! Could that be the cause???

My first thought was a cold but I'm sure there are a 101 possible causes.

Maybe she has hayfever
Or a feather allergy

I would guess, as Pamela says, antibiotics would be a good route but you'd need a vet for that, so I'm not much use to you.  :?

Without any other symptoms, maybe it'll clear up but if you're wprries and can afford the bill, I can only suggest a trip to the vet.
Otherwise, keep an eye on her and see if there's any change.

Someone else may be able to give you a few possibilities.

My Chicken has started sneezing too. It makes this odd sort of cooing sound in between and then ssneezes twice over and over again. brought it inside as it is well over 90 degrees F. overheating maybe? gave it fresh water and food. hope for the best, while i await some advice. :?  :?
-If life gives you lemons find someone who got vodka and have a party
-If it doesn't fit;force it. If it breaks; you needed a new one anyway
-Borrow money from pessimist; they don't expect it back

Not sure if something caught in the crop and tickling the throat might cause sneezing. Would have thought more likely coughing.

My Holly was sneezing for about a month, then as most of you know she was really poorly a week ago on Friday, bubbles coming from her nose, not eating (only for one day) etc, a course of Baytril & everything seems too be fine, except no eggies from her for nearly two weeks now. They do get hayfever apparently, but how you tell the difference I don't know.

One of mine had a 'sneezing fit' this afternoon, hasnt done it before, and not since!! She was even half closing her eyes just before each one like we do!! She'd just come out of a sheltered corner in our garden, am assuming she got dust up her nose!
