Title: peking chick
Post by: tamnwill on August 24, 2010, 04:56
Hi all, since I last wrote with queeries regarding poorly chiclens last year all my girls made it thankfully, they all lay and egg a day and are free range happy, very sociable girls and wonder into the house regularly! I have been given an under fed quiet little peking chook that is mottles colours of browns and grey, and is very beautiful, any ideas what type she is regarding colour? Also any tips on how to give her the best tlc is welcome. She is separate from the others at the mo . Until now she was exposed to the elements too much and is enjoying the peace and quiet and warmth. She has no obvious signs of illness, her eyes and nostrils are clean and has no mites but you can feel her breast bone easily. I'm such a sucker for poorly chooks but felt confident I could help her as I'd been so successful with getting my other chooks back on their feet, and now they are thriving. I'm not familiar with this breed other than they are sociable, banatam family and small. Any advice wou be appreciated. Thanks x
