Title: There's definitely something down there
Post by: barney rubble on June 16, 2009, 11:05
Couldn't hold back any longer - had a furtle in my spud buckets and they are there :D

Might just quality control a couple of them for tea

I dug up 2 lb of Lady crystal from 3 plants the other day and they will be quality tested, along with some broccoli and cabbage that needs to be tested too!

I'm just about holding on to have a furtle. The flower buds are there though. Won't be long!  :D

I have a question - what happens if I DONT dig them up?

I have 15 containers of potatoes, 5 varieties.  Planted them in alphabetical order so I would remember which were which.  Trouble is I lost the labels so now can't remember the varieties for the alphabetical order!

So, if I don't empty the container will they be ok?  Or is there a set time for top spuds?
