I wanted to share our news with you all.
We are soon (4 weeks) to be the proud parents of a little West Highland White Terrier.
I have always wanted one of these dogs and for the past 2 or more years have ummed and arred thought about all the pros and cons and finally on my 50th birthday 3rd May we went to see some beautiful puppies. We picked a darling little girl and have named her Bluebell because she had a blue mark on her bum (put by the breeder to tell which one was which) and also because my birthday and hubbies is in May the time the Bluebells come out.
The breeder sends us an update and photos every Monday so we get to see her progress. We are off to see her again this weekend as she is local.
We can't wait to have her here with us. It feels like a lifetime waiting lol.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I can't show these photos to the Husband as he will instantly want one (his family had one when he was a child and he has such a soft spot for them).
Seeing as we have a 6m old puppy (after waiting 20 years!), we can't take on another one ... or can we....?! :nowink:

Her full name will be Madame Bluebell so depending on how she behaves depends what we call her lol. What a coincidence that your screen name is Snowdrops my friend said today that if she had a white Westie she would call it snowdrop :D :D

She is going to be one spoilt Madame lol. The wait is killing me though lol.

Every week we watch Paul O'grady and say we want another dog, we've both had them in the past, but with the full time work we now both do it woudn't be fair, it takes us until Friday to realise this and know that to be dogless (although we don't like it) is best.

She's gorgeous! :) I was in touch with the breeder of my recently acquired pup from 1 week before her birth, we picked her up 2 weeks ago when she was 7 weeks old. I know just how slow that time goes, especially the last week! Well worth it though, my Kira is a treasure (mischievous but a treasure).

how gorgeous - and such a lovely name. I too want doggies - particularly when I see the Paul O'Grady programme - but we are not at home enough in the day - I refuse to leave a dog alone for any length of time. Would love one though - I love those scruffy little terriers like the one on Corrie :D
