Hi all
Just joined and already made first post, so I thought I'd best post here and say hi.
We - Paul (me) and Michelle, my partner in grime - started growing at home 4 or was it 5 years a go. Michelle was growing her own at her small holding in Poland until she decided to return to England 7 years a go. I have dabbled with home growing but only a very small amount.
When we moved to our current house we decided to put up a greenhouse and slowly have converted half the garden to growing food, mostly herbs and edible flowers, but also potatoes, tom, peppers and cucumbers in bags. Have quite some success as well.
3 years a go after 2 years of waiting we managed to get a half plot at out local allotment site YAY!
It was sorely neglected but we got 1/4 cleared and started growing we have now expanded this area whilst clearing the rest of the plot. Last year we got another half plot with mostly fruit trees and bushes.
Our friends think are mad, at times so do we
I have used the main site for advice since we started out on plot number 1 and use the info on a regular basis, but I've only just joined the forum as I want to find out more things and hopefully contribute in the future.
All the best
Paul

Hello and Welcome!

Hi and welcome :)

Hello and welcome from me too.
Most of my friends don't understand why I like playing in the mud quite so much either. I used to have decent nails, a forefinger without ingrained dirt, a monthly shoe budget and a cocktail habit.
Any photos of your plot(s)? We like photos.... :D

Hi there no you're not mad but those that don't grow are :tongue2:. I like lots of others on here have grown for years, long before it was hip & trendy & we're still at it so we can't all be wrong, as Surbie says we like photos, but you'll have probably Sussed that out if you've been reading on here for a while, have you checked out the diary thread. Some are better at posting regularly than others. Surbie as opposed to me
