Aphids
« on: July 03, 2016, 18:44 »
Having a dreadful time with a incredibly small aphid green looks a bit like a oval shape. I have tried the washing up solution and a pesticide. Nothing seems to be getting it under control. What can anyone recommend surely there is something which will work. Is there any kind of candle that you can burn I am thinking of the yellow ones. Really fed up having to deal with them. Thanks very much

Provado Ultimate fruit & veg bug killer (make sure the veg you are spraying is on the label)

I don't think you can use any of the candles while you have plants growing.

This does work, and after that it is a case of leaf inspections and squashing any new invaders asap. I had a massive invasion in the greenhouse earlier in the year when I went on holiday and regular inspections are definitely crucial as more just find their way in

I have used this for the past few years, and agree it works well.

I now use the concentrated form and works as well and it works out a lot cheaper
