just made a huge lump of marzipan and boy is it good , its so expencive here if you can find it , i paid 1.79 euros fora piece big enough to dip in chocolate an call a sweet and that tasted like plastic im so chuffed .

Good for you. I made some last year to go in a stollen, much better than shop ought.

Have to agree, there is no relation to the shop stuff...aren't you glad you can't get it in Greece? Ah Greece.....I'm going to miss it this year. :( Must be quite a job keeping veggies going through the summer.

yes it is early and a late water good job the water isnt much lol
you can get it here not sure of where it comes from but like i said its so expencive and very sticky , mine wasent sticky at all didnt want to work it too much incase it got too oily and it was thumbs up from hubby who likes it but not the white icing on the Christmas cake so will give that a miss this year and put fruits on top of the marzipan.
