I saw a mouse.
Where?
There in my coldframe.
eating my peas.
And even my beans.
My beans were so high
I did not think he'd try
But he bit off the top
And did not stop
Until six lovely plants
had all gone pants.

Do we have to answer in poetry to? :)

Oh eck
A trap
Would brek
Its neck
Not nice
But over
In
A trice.

As your from Ireland - I thought a Limerick more suitable.
There once was a fellow named rich.
Had his veg ate by mice – what a bitch.
He baited a trap.
Heard a sharp snap.
And buried that mouse in a ditch.

I thought the dratted hungry mice,
Only found the pea seed nice.
I didn't think they'd eat the plants,
I think you're right....it's sure gone pants!
I've got two cats that catch the pests,
Chew them up, destroy their nests.
So I don't need a rodent trap
BUT cats dig up the rows to c..p!!!!::) :D :D

I foolishly left my seed box in the shed and discovered it yesterday. Mr Mouse had moved in, chewed the packets to make a bed and eaten all the seeds, about £60 worth! A mistake I won't be making again in the future.

Large glass jars with screw lids are perfect for storing seeds against mice. My mum had the same problem in her shed. Then she washed out some large jars (from mayo, peanut butter, etc) to store seeds and now the mice chew other things, like her fertilizer bags, plastic pots, etc :D
