These are our newbies, hatched yesterday and brought out by 'mum' today. Soc an nayone tell how many boys and how many girls?!! :lol:

lol, she was broody in spring and I got her some eggs of fleabay and we only got one hatchling (Which has turned out to be a light sussex cock :-() She went broody again and depite numerous attempts to break her out of her she wouldn't budge so I got some off a frind of a freind. 8 eggs in total, one went missing (think one of the other hens got it) she took a dislike to another and the other 6 all hatched.
From what someone has told me there are three welsummers (loojks like 2 boys and 1 girl) 2 are supposed to be millefleur but only one has boots and the other is a mystery (black with a brown fence). I am just enjoying them for the moment and hoping that my mother will be amenable to my sggestion of keeping any cocks in her large garden until they are large enough for the pot....
