Pea row spacing ... ambassador
« on: April 22, 2013, 18:43 »
Hi, I have found all the photos and guides for DD for sowing peas .... what spacing should I use between each row? (I will be sowing as per DD triple row 3" by 6", if my throwing is that good  :tongue2:) but what space between the next triple row? want to get in as many as possible ....
2 Books and No idea!!!  Learning as I go!

I separate my pea rows by the height that they grow to. My Hurstgreenshaft grow to 30" so I put the rows 30" apart.

I agree with this and always space my peas out the same way. It works well.

Hi, my raised beds are 4' wide. Would it be okay to plant a row of mangetout tight to each side? That would only give a spacing of 3' 6'' though.

I thought I was pushing it. Mange tout grow taller. I think I will just have one long row and then grow celery in front of it. :)
