Runner Bean Seeds
« on: May 20, 2007, 16:41 »
Hi,
On advice from a fellow allotmentier. I am presoaking my runner beans before planting later today.
Now that I am soaking them in water some beans sank straight to the bottom and some are floating on the top.
Does this mean anything?
I know with eggs if they sink they are good is this the same with runner bean seeds?
99% Organic and 1% Slug Pellets.

They'll be fine.  You might want to search for Aidy's post on Halo Blight.  Post again if you don't know how to do this.

Thanks for the replies.
Going to plant them now.
Bit late I know but I only got Lottie last week.
How long before I see something poking through?
I can't wait they are my first grown.

I sowed unsoaked seeds in toilet rolls while our allotment got sorted out and the first one sprouted after just four days
by the time i am old and grey i might be 100% organic
