Iv'e not bought from these so don't know how long the postage is from Thailand

Anyway, would you believe our workplace couldn't get it going.  :blink:

So I've now taken it to another guy (reccommended), that specialises in gardening equipment, he has suggested that he maybe able to get rid of the points and fit a 'breakerless system'.  :blink:

But, if he can't get it going, to look for one of those Japanese 'copied' engines. He said to look on the 'bay', but I can't find them......

That will still require getting a different coil with either the electronics built in.
or the same type of coil you have now and fit an electronic conversion which does away with the points

edit: did they actually check the coil windings resistances with all leads disconnected?

For that price (even though it's a bidding price and not a buy it now), I may of been able to DIY??

And today, he tells me that he has a week long backlog of work to get through before he even gets to look at mine!! 

If he'd said that, I wouldn't have wasted a trip and fuel!
