Hi

Could anyone tell me at what age you should make the transition to layers pellets and what is the best way to do this?

Also at what age should you start giving them some corn?

When we had ours from chicks we changed them at about 20 weeks just added a little more layers each day and a little less growers for about a week, tried to time it to the emptying of the bag of growers  

Started to give them corn and stuff just after they had started laying.

We changed ours about 11 days ago, just put layers in top of feeds over the growers so it trickled through together for a bit, had our first egg on tuesday at 17 weeks (today)

Ours have had a small 4 handfuls of corn for the last 4 weeks or so. Have also had oyster shell and grit available since the layers pellets

We change them at about 18-19 weeks . We started adding small handfulls of Layers at a time and gets more everytime untill you finnish the growers bag    and they should be fine then . Hopefully .
