Title: I got new chicks! Tee hee!

Hi,

Having given up trying to find pure breed POL pullets I have been and bought 3 gorgeous ten day old chicks! Aaaaaaaaaawwwwwwhhhh! So cute. I will try and get some photos.

I had asked for 3 Welsummers but there were only 2 left so I said,'oh well, I'll have a Rhode Island Red too please.' Then on collecting them the man found that he only had 1 Welsummer left and the other he realised was a Legbar! They do look quite similar! I decided to take it any way and have just been looking them up on the internet, wow, they look really nice. I didn't expect to get a hen with a hat!!!! tee hee.

My not so clever moment though! My next door neighbour asked if I would take on 'naughty nelly' as she keeps flying over her 6 foot fence. Am going to go write about that one in the help forum.

Yeah, I got the photo on!

On the left we have Louise Legbar - I read on a legbar website that the females  have stripes down their back and males don't so I hope they are right.

In the middle is Chris (Evans - if male /...tine if female) Rhode Island Red.

On the right is Phoebe (or maybe Pheobo) Welsummer - my 3 year olds favourite so if she is a boy she is staying!

I think your Legbar is a girl as well! I can't quite see from the photo, but Welsummer females have quite defined "eyeliner" - almost like the Egyptian murals.

Louise Leg bar jumped right out of the cage today! Think she is going to be the feisty one!
