What the best way to store courgette's we cant even keep them a day with out them going all soft.

you might be picking them too early.
i've found that even not in the fridge, they should last a few days (cool anddark area) without going soft.
but if you pick t hem too early they go soft a lot quicker...

Oh ok ermm they are quite big when we pick then compared to shop brought one's

 Hi

 I put mine in nets (the ones you get from supermarket oranges, onions...etc) and hang them in a cool, dark well-ventilated out house (stable, shed..) and they last for weeks nice and hard, but I´m going to start blanching&freezing the next ones as I have lots more coming up... the joys of the spanish huerto!

have you tried those green food preservation bags?? i use them for all my veg and they last ages.

I use (and re-use) plastic freezer ziploc bags.  They work for everything.
even lettuce keeps 4 or 5 days,  come to think of it courgettes are the only thing i find doesn't need them!

Ermmmm not sure then, i made up some chip like courgette's strips last night was quite nice with a sprinkle of hot paprika so will get through soon that way hahahahaha
