Quickly - go take a note of the hit counts on each video. I know which one will attract most attention from this lot !
You are evidently enjoying having your ducks (so much more intelligent than chickens :snigger:)

Can't wait for Babe's reply to your comment WG !!!!!!!

i didnt know you could make your text so small . . . . . . .

They are such good fun to watch. Lovely ducks Dave. You gettn any eggies?
-
no not yet F.C . . . . . . . .
too young yet to thye best of my knowledge, when we got them a month ago the chap said they were around 4 to 5 months old so that'd make em around 6 months now and if i remember correctly they dont start laying till around 12 months (ish)
so it looks like the spring/summer before we get to sample their delights lol :?
-
Mmmm - Steve certainly seems to think it'll be earlier than that. Bet you have your own eggs for Easter - maybe even St Valentines Dat.
-
If they're boffing the eggs will come any day soon
-
erm . . . . . . .
steve's been 'boffing' since about oooooooooh lets say . . . . . . . . . . .
the end of the second week lol
now at first . . . . it appeared that his particular 'special' girl, who is the more confident one, didn't have a lot of say in the matter ( there's bound to be comparisons about that remark surely lol) but now he seems less fussy/and or/ has decided to 'spread his 'love' around' . . . . . . .
well, he is a caring sharing kinda guy . . . . . . lol . . . . .
can they really lay this young ???
i will be amazed if that happens so soon, really had resigned myself to a much longer wait lol
-
i meant to add that his 'boffing' isnt a long drawn out affair and its all over in seconds but i now feel like i'm digging myself a very very deep hole here lol
think i best quit while i'm ahead . . . . . . lol

Our ducks arrive at Horton Farm when they are one day old, and start laying eggs about 5 months later. When they finish their second lay, at nearly 3 years old, we re-home them.
Your first duck egg breakfast beckons. Make it soft poached on toast with a little HP sauce and tabasco.
Not that I'm trying to get you excited about it, you understand.

dont know if this is normal behavior but he also seems to have a habit of doing a 'lap of honour' around the garden straight after lol . . . . .
why do i get the feeling that if munty was about i'd be getting a reply that just says . . .
' werks fer me ' . . . . . .

Dave my ducks started laying beginning of December and they were about 7-8 months approx. All 4 girls give us an egg a day and they are lovely. I cant understand why some people don't like them. I dont think they are THAT strong. :? Anyway, your girls should start laying soon, how exciting :D
