treating new wooden coop

just got a new coop  :D

 Any ideas what to treat the outside with to give it a bit of protection from the british weather?

I have just painted mine with a Ronseal fence paint - I suppose any wood protector would be good. Depends on what colour you want really  :)

I would only use protector that was owl safe - it should say on the tin. If you use some protectors and are able to let them weather a bit first they may be alright :)
