This is second year in running. I was not planning to grow them but itchy fingers and spare seeds, so started them in richies paper pots.
however hard i try to put the chitted okra root downwards they tend to grow upwards and the root come out first. last year i didnt know the chitted root should point downwards and i had 50% of roots coming outside...
have you ever noticed this weird behaviour?

What variety are you growing?  Have tried Clemsons Spineless to no avail, but last year had success with 'Pure Luck F1' from Kings seeds (if memory serves me correctly)  Look forward to hearing if you have good results...
