The sun shone yesterday on Warwickshire and I collected all of this years grape harvest. Not as bountiful a crop as last year, I finished with 2 x 25 liter buckets full to over flowing, a large box 36"x24"x18", and another large box half full.
Now the fun begins... :D  after popping up the lottie this morning for a couple of hours it'll be back to the grindstone,( well it's a Hydropress to tell the truth).

The old press we had was the "screw type" so we've gone and bought this hydropress, it's cleaner and faster than the old press.

The price can be a bit of a shock Baldy, but it's a brilliant press, they say up to 10% more juice for what you press.

TO Plot46 -

I have a large(ish) screw type and am curious about the hydropress.

How effective do you find it? More or less than the screw type?

How is it cleaner, please?

In terms of time, how much quicker is it, considering that its volume may be larger to begin with?

Thanks

Kevin Hi.

1..They say you get 10% more juice.

2.. Very effective and easier.

3..All you have a a stainless tube, nylon tube to wash at the end...and the press.

4.. We washed, stripped, and crushed around 70kgs on Sunday morning in a couple of hours. the smaller volume was easier to handle.

Take a look on "Youtube" pop in Hydropress, there's not many vids but it'll show you more.
