I am looking to start keeping chickens & turkeys for meat but am having trouble finding a poultry abattoir. Does any-one know of one in the North Wales area?

were in n wales are you i know a few butchers around there that might help you out? but its easier to do it yourself.

I agree you really should learn to it yourself so perhaps you need to find a local dispatch, pluck and gut course.
Will you be keeping these just for yourself or will they be for sale? If they are to be sold then there is an awful lot of regulations that you will need to find out about.

There are very few abbatoirs now that will handle poultry now, like freya said, it would be easier to lean to do it yourself.

There are lots of tips on here to tell you and show you how to do it.  I had a wall mounted dispatcher that makes the job easier if you are intending to rear meat chickens on a regular basis.

I am in Gwynedd near Caernarfon, I am hoping to sell them eventually so need to have them slaughtered & prepared for this
